Bio

Kathy Lynch is in her 20th year at Framingham State University where she was hired as the Sports Information Specialist in 2003 and was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director in 2007.  Lynch oversees the day-to-day operations of the sports information office including writing press releases and feature stories, producing promotional materials including media guides and game programs, maintaining the Rams athletic web site, coordinating photography, compiling statistics and maintaining the record books.  In addition to her sports information responsibilities, Lynch serves as the NCAA complinace officer for the department.  She previously coordinated all home events and the student event staff.

Lynch is a 2002 graduate of Framingham State where she was a Tsongas Scholar and earned a degree in business administration.  She was a four year member of the women's basketball team and a three time captain.  During her four years, the Lady Rams received their first bid to the ECAC New England Tournament and reached the finals of the MASCAC Tournament for the first time.  She was a two time Unsung Hero, was selected to the All-MASCAC Team once and the MASCAC All-Academic Team each of her four seasons.  As a senior, Lynch received the 2002 ECAC Merit Award and was selected the Framingham State Female Scholar Athlete of the Year.

Lynch, a member of both the College Sports Communicators and EastComm, is active on campus having served on several search committees for newly created positions.  From 2005-2009, she served as an assistant coach for the Framingham State women's basketball team and returned to the bench from 2013-2018 as an assistant coach.  She has served on the ECAC New England Women's Basketball Selection Committee and served a three year stint on the NCAA Regional Advisory Committee for field hockey in the New England West Region. Most recently, Lynch has served on the Men's Soccer Regional Advisory Committee for Region II.

Lynch completed work on her master's degree at Framingham State in December 2010 and resides in North Attleboro.
