Bio

Lombardi is in his fifth year as the head coach of the Framingham State University Cheerleading Team.  Prior to being named head coach, Lombardi spent two years as an assistant coach at FSU.

He began cheerleading his senior year of high school at Joseph P. Keefe Regional Technical High School and after graduating in 1993, Lombardi went on to cheer at Dean College.  After two years Lombardi transferred to the University of Hartford in Connecticut and cheered on their small coed team where he became captain in his second year.

From 1997 – 2013, Lombardi was on staff with the Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA) where he worked and ran summer camps and stunt clinics across New England.

Lombardi received a BS in Health Science from the University of Hartford in 1998, later going on for his Master’s in Education.

After graduating from Hartford he started his coaching career as an assistant coach at Walpole High School. After one year he took the head-coaching job at Holliston High School and was there for three years. While at Holliston Lombardi started a small all-star program with a fellow UCA staff member in Norwood.

In 2002 Lombardi took the head coaching job at Natick High School where has been for the past 12 years.   At Natick, he has built one of the most successful co-ed high school teams in the state.

Lombardi cheered at the professional level for the Boston Celtics on the Green Team from 2005-2007 and then again 2008-2009.

In 2009, Lombardi became the assistant cheerleading coach at Framingham State University and in 2011 he became the head coach. Lombardi works full time as a middle school science teacher in Waltham, MA and also produces cheerleading music for many programs across the state in his free time while currently residing in Framingham.
